Short-listed competition entry for a comprehensive public realm strategy aimed at uplifting the appearance and attractiveness of the City Centre as a place to experience and enjoy the qualities on offer, and to inform the creation of new high quality public spaces, improved pedestrian and vehicular movement and connection between key city centre functions.

 

Our vision for the public realm was to promote Stoke’s City Centre life and activity by creating an inspirational series of linked and flexible public spaces that can accommodate on-street trading, major events and festivals, as well as providing high quality amenity space to be enjoyed by local residents in a safe, accessible and attractive manner, and achieving strong links with adjoining residential areas and regeneration sites.
